We are pleased to invite you to attend the WHO and IGN meeting “Preventing supervising iodine deficiency in Europe”, taking place on 3 December 2025 in Brussels with support from the Government of Belgium and Kiwanis Children’s Fund.
Across Europe, mild iodine deficiency is re-emerging, particularly among young and pregnant women, with significant implications for public health and cognitive development. This meeting will bring together government nutrition leaders, public health authorities, industry representatives, academics, and civil-society partners to discuss the findings of the 2024 WHO/IGN report and explore coordinated solutions to improve iodine status across the Region.
You are invited to participate in both sessions of the meeting and to join us for lunch at 12:30:
Closed morning session with presentations and country updates from Member States: 09:00–12:00
Open session with presentations and multi-stakeholder discussions: 13:00–17:00
Venue:Halsa-Fulsi Auditorium, SPF Santé PubliqueAvenue Galilée 5/2, 1210 Brussels, Belgium
